The bedroom – is an intimate room in which you need to create a suitable atmosphere and comfort. It is in it that a person rests after a hard day and recovers strength. Therefore, it is important to design the interior of the bedroom so that it is always pleasant to be in it, and it meets all the basic needs of the owners.
Organizing space in the bedroom is not as easy as it seems. When arranging the interior, many people make mistakes that further negatively affect the appearance of the room and the comfort of staying in it. Let's look at the five most common mistakes made when organizing space in the bedroom.
1. Empty walls
The bedroom is primarily designed for sleeping and relaxing. But the complete lack of decor, boring furniture and bare walls – all this has a bad effect on the situation in the room and the mood of its owner. A few paintings or photos on the walls, small shelves with books or decorations will diversify the interior and make it more "alive". Even if the room is decorated in a minimalist style, this does not mean that it should be made boring and empty.
2. Incorrect placement of switches and sockets
The number of outlets in a room depends on its size and how many electrical appliances are used. It is important to place them so that they are in an accessible place. There are often situations when, during the repair process, the sockets were placed randomly, and already during the furnishing, they were partially or completely covered with furniture.
It is desirable to place the switches in the immediate vicinity of the bed. So that you don't have to get up and walk across the room to turn off or turn on the lighting.
ADVICE: Use double sockets. It is more economical and more convenient. Provide an additional outlet in the window slope, as it may be very useful in the future.
3. Incorrect placement of the bed
The bed – is an important element of the bedroom and the center of the entire composition. The rest of the interior items are located around it. But often beds in the bedrooms are placed unsuccessfully. Bad options are to place the bed right next to the door, in the corner and with the headboard to the window.
When placing, you need to start from the size of the bed, its shape and the area of the room. A good area for placement is a wall between the windows or a wall that is perpendicular to the window.
IMPORTANT: To feel more comfortable and not be distracted by noises, put the bed away from the door.
4. Monochrome interior
To choose every detail of the interior in the same style & ndash; it is important, but using only one shade in the room & ndash; is a common blunder. In order for the room not to be boring and faded, you need to correctly combine different colors and make bright accents on individual details. This will make the bedroom more interesting and cozy.
5. Large mirror along the bed
In the wardrobes installed in the bedrooms, a large mirror on the door is often provided. A mirror installed near the bed is a clear mistake. For a while, a constant reflection in the mirror may even amuse, but soon it will get boring, anxiety and a feeling of discomfort will appear. There are common situations when people suffer from insomnia because of such a mirror.
The mirror in the bedroom should be located so that it is not visible when lying down. You can even use a mobile mirror on wheels. It can be moved from one place to another and turned to the desired side.
FOR THE RECORD: The bedroom looks fresher and more cozy if you place beautiful framed photos, scented candles, flowers in a vase, a basket with useful little things on a chest of drawers or a table.
